Canon PRINT

I've never had a more useless app in my life. I have to reconnect to the printer a MINIMUM of 3 times every time I print something, and it's incapable of scanning. My printer just scanned the same document NINE times while my phones just showed a loading screen and never received the document. I could go on for ages, but the point is: Don't buy a canon printer and don't use this app.

I hate this app. Needlessly difficult to change to different wifi network. Have to be at the printer to use it, so wireless functions are almost useless. If someone proficient with technology like me has trouble with this, there is no hope for anyone else. It's incredibly frustrating. Printing a document was easier in 2006. I might end up paying to print something at Staples instead since my home printer is basically useless. Piece of junk.

This app is a diabolically difficult POS!!! It will work fine for a month or so (I don't do that much printing and nothing high-end not even photos) and then it will act up. It won't connect to my phone. It won't connect to my PC. It won't connect when I use the wire in the back to the USB ports on my PC or phone. And then I have to spend hours trying to reset the connections, uninstall and reinstall the app, etc. It's too bad because Canon used to make great stuff.

I am a hobbiest who has limited computer/printer education and experience. However, I was able to install this app, and make the wireless connection between my mobile phone and Canon printer. Within several hours (pretty good for me) I was able to download a number of tax forms and print. I am sure that someone who is a little more tech-savvy than me could set up the process quicker.

4 Stars because I need to constantly go to the Canon app and reconnect the printer to show on my network. Also a couple of times job stopped half way and I had to cancel, turn off and on printer and try again. Other than that, the quality is great, is fast and not too loud. Also on Canon app you can scan from phone camera and print, or scan from printer and send to phone or email.

having an incredibly difficult time getting to do what I want it to do. Also, it didn't even show up on my phone under the name that I downloaded it by; instead it's just "PRINT". Definitely wouldn't recommend to anyone else but it tends to get the job done if I'm willing to spend hours figuring it out. Debating whether or not I want to return the printer for a more expensive one rather than deal with the hassle of this cheap one. My printer model is - TS3722

The app works fine, but... It seems to highlight features that my printer doesn't have, and it forces me to install more stuff from Canon that I don't need and will likely never use! This is a one-size fits all solution for Canon printing that needs to be tailored better for the user's needs. I would give this a better review in the future if there were any easy way to turn features (like cloud printing and the lead-ins for ordering items) on and off! I also have concerns for my privacy, as the app requires me to turn on location services to enable cloud printing, which is an unavailable feature on my printer. That being said, at least I can print from my phone now.

Absolutely the worst app and printer combo. printer will not wake up to print I have to go turn it on, which defeats the purpose of a wireless printer. and you cannot print without the app. phones and computers already have the ability to print. but this app prevents printing. very disappointed. when I can get one device to print, it will only print for that time period and never work again unless I set it up again. completely worthless.

I gave it one star only because it won't let you do zero. this app is a complete waste of your time. it lists several permissions that are "optional" but it won't work without them. It won't let you select an album in your photos so you have to waste time scrolling thru until you find it. My phone shows I'm connected to the printer but the app tells me it's not connected. it offers no ability to change print quality in the app. I can't believe cannon put their name on this dysfunctional app.

Quick and easy way to print a pdf or other print document directly from your phone. All it takes is to select the app as the location to open the doc you want printed and hit print. On the con side, there is no ability to alter the settings the only option i have is what paper to use. I can't choose between b&w or color, can't adjust the size or scale, no way to determine the print quality. At least with my Canon 6000 it's just a basic way to print, which 99% of the time is perfect.

At first I was really excited for this app because I don't have a computer and it's awesome to be able to print from my phone. I am having issues with scanning pictures though. I was able to scan one picture and save it to my phone, now everytime I try I get an error message that says cancelled the process. An error has occurred during the process. It's super frustrating because I can see the picture on my phone before the error message shows up but it refuses to save it. I have tried rebooting my printer and this app and nothing seems to help.

$250 down the drain... The app doesn work on Android phones. It worked on the iphone, but on the android, it won't load beyond the legal agreement. Once you click the "I agree" button, it flickers black and that's it. Doesn't load anything at all besides a solid white screen if you're lucky to even get that for a response. Then it freezes, making closing out of it a chore. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times. Tried a Chromebook, and got a message that it's not compatible. Trash.

You can print something, but you can't choose brightness, contrast, saturation, size. There is just nothing you can do. In fact, when I need to print my photo for ID I need do it twice - first time to check size, then change picture proportion in some other photo editor and print it again. Sometimes when I need photo 5"*5" I need to do three attempt and use three sheets of photo paper. But yes it works somehow.

Absolute garbage. Printer was used less than a dozen times and in the middle of my work has consistently failed. Failed to print, turn on and off, connect, you name it. App is not user friendly and impossible too use on the fly. When you click on help it takes off app and forces you to manually select the printer, error type, etc. Unbelievable total failure of a company. NEVER AGAIN. I feel like this is a joke.

Great to be able to print documents directly from my phone! I wish there were options to change print features though. There are currently only two features available - 1) choosing which page(s) to print and 2) choosing how many copies to print. I would really like to have choices such as printing black and white or printing front to back. By default, mine prints in color (when the document is in color) and only on one side of the page.

This app really needs to be fixed. For technology to be as advanced as it is and there are still issues with apps like these, it's sad. You cannot resize the photo, so as soon as you press print preview, you'll have heads cut off. Sadly every photo being printed has to go through this app if printing from a phone. I'm sure most everyone looking to print photos is printing from their phone. I hope Canon fixes the app and soon. Definitely need more options and tools for this to function properly.

Works without a hitch, almost every time. Sometimes there are network errors, after a force close and reopen it will work immediately again. Basic crop included is good, and so is the ability to change print settings like page size and photo paper type. Much better experience than desktop in terms of speed and ease of use. The desktop version should take notes from this release.

So far, it seems to work EXACTLY as you would expect it to. Which is great! THERE'S JUST ONE THING, and I'm not even sure if this can be changed on CANON'S side (but, in my opinion, computers are machines and they do what you tell them ;)...) I've noticed when printing my work schedule that it doesn't give me the option to print a document in either regular or "landscape" mode.

This is a great app for a mobile device. I am able to print off photos to my selfy printer and documents and larger photos with my pixma in one app. The setup was fairly straightforward. I just wish there were a few more options like printing off multiple copies of a document, changing the size of what I want to print (zoom), or being able to print double-sided. However, beggars can't always be choosers so I am pretty content with my experience using this app overall.
