Pattern Elements

The core rhythmic pattern lies in the app's ability to quickly and accurately measure angles. This repetition forms the basis of its utility. The app’s accelerometer data processing forms a distinct pattern.

Calibration

Calibration offers a rhythmic reset, ensuring consistent measurements. This is crucial for maintaining accuracy over time.

Flow Features

The flow is dictated by the ease with which users can access and interpret angle measurements. A smooth transition between calibration and measurement modes enhances this flow.

  • Clear visual representation of angles.
  • Intuitive calibration process.
  • Real-time updates of angle measurements.

Tempo Aspects

The speed at which the app responds to device movement is critical. Quick updates and minimal lag are essential for a good user experience. Startup time also contributes to the overall tempo.

Responsiveness

Fast refresh rates translate to immediate feedback, creating a responsive tempo.

Beat Points

Key moments of interaction, such as starting the app, calibrating, and taking a measurement, act as beat points. Each action should be clear and well-defined. Screen taps and gesture support add to the beat.

  1. App Launch: Quick startup is vital.
  2. Calibration: Simple and fast calibration process.
  3. Measurement: Real-time updates with minimal lag.

Rhythm Moments

The overall rhythm is established through a combination of visual feedback, haptic responses (if available), and the precision of the measurements. Consistency and reliability are key to a pleasing rhythm.

  • Easy to use interface
  • Accurate angle measurements
  • Potential for calibration drift
  • Reliance on device sensors

Overall Rhythmic Value

The app's rhythmic value lies in its consistent and reliable angle measurements. If the app falters in providing accurate readings or suffers from lag, the rhythmic flow is disrupted. The core strength resides in how seamlessly it performs its primary function.

Final Verdict

The app’s rhythmic success depends on consistent performance and accurate measurements, crucial elements that define a positive user experience.

Description

Clinometer is a useful tool for measuring vertical slopes, such as the angle between the ground or observer and a tall object. It has a motion range of 90 degrees, allowing users to use any side of their device. The precision is adjustable up to 3 decimal places using the toolbar menu or settings screen. Users can access the navigation menu by touching the hamburger button on the top left of the screen, where they can find the user manual, information about sensors on their device, and privacy policy. The app offers various features, including precise angle or inclination measurement with clinometer, bubble level, laser level, or protractor. It also has a compass with light and magnetic field computation features, and users can choose from various unit systems such as degree or percentage. With the relative angle mode, users can measure the angle or slope on surfaces that are not parallel to the ground. The app also allows users to capture images with measured values or save their measurements to a database. They can display their history on the Record Screen or visualize the measurements with graphs. Additionally, users can export a hard copy of their history as an xls file. Customer satisfaction is a priority for the developers of Clinometer. If users encounter any bugs while using the application, they are encouraged to write to [email protected] with their phone model name and a description of the problem before writing a negative comment. The developers will do their best to fix any issues as soon as possible. Thank you for choosing this app. Overall, Clinometer is a versatile and precise tool for measuring vertical slopes. Its various features and adjustable precision make it a useful tool for a range of applications. The app's developers prioritize customer satisfaction and encourage users to provide feedback to help improve the app's functionality.

Finally - didn't have to run to store to buy a tool just to get one quick reading. I went thru several of these apps and I chose to stay with yours because I could move it to my SD card as I am running out of internal storage. Thank you for allowing that - I wish all developers did that. PRO: Quick and easy. Seems accurate enough for my needs. CONS: Not really an app con, yet be aware that if you have side buttons that stick out a bit, you'll need to account for them when looking for plumb.

I seem to have issues with the "calibration" feature. For example, let's say I calibrate against a wall or floor surface known to be flat, so that I get a calibrated reading on the app. After taking a few measurements and then going back to that same spot on the wall or floor to see if the calibration is "holding", I usually find that the app has reset or lost the calibration and is back to reading the original pre-calibration angle value. There seems to be no way to "lock" or "save" a calibration so it will hold.

Simple, and clear readout. By default no decimals: just go into [=] (settings) to change to 1 digits (or 2, or 3 but I think at 2 you are already beyond the margin of error of your phone)) Not excessively complicated like some. Love the large dial.
