ColorNote Notepad Notes

I have been using this app for over 10 years. I'd be much more disorganized and have a lot less things accomplished over these years and if it weren't for this app. I prefer it above any other Notepad apps. It doesn't have as many features, add-ons, intricate options in terms of detailing and customization as many other Notepad apps do, but honestly, that's what I love about it. It's simple, I don't get frustrated. I use this app almost daily.

It was nice. IMO it has the best password protection implementation. You can auto backup notes to the local device, Google Drive is optional. Been using it for many years, it's gotten cluttered. They finally added folders for organization but you need Premium. Unfortunately it's a subscription model. I don't need cloud backup why should I pay for it? There's no lifetime purchase option so it's time to move on to a new app. FoxyNotes, NotallyX & Joplin look like good candidates.

5/30/18 I really like this app. It keeps all my little notes to myself organized and easy to access. 10/21/25 I continue to use this app nearly daily. I have added it to every new phone I have had since 2018, even though there is usually a notes app included in the phone. I haven't found any other one that organizes like Color Note and makes it as easy to save and find my notes. I would give this more than 5 🌟 if possible.

This app is great. I've been using it since 2011. I make todo lists, write down thoughts and ideas, take quick notes, basically anything where I want to write something down on the fly. It's the main reason I stick with Android; it's my life journal. I love being able to export backups and sync between devices. Moving to a new device is easy. My biggest complaint was fixed when they added an undo feature a year or few ago. And it's free! I wish they'd make an iPhone version and add note pinning.

I really love this app. You can color code things, you can archive things, you can even transfer all your notes easily to another phone because it's connected to your Google account. My only complaints are that you can't pin notes and that I wish there was a way to have seperate areas for different days(because I use this for events a lot.) It's kind of just one big area.

Absolutely LOVE this app! 💛 It's my go-to app for notetaking and to-do lists. Love the syncing feature, which has brought my notes from phone to phone. The only thing that would make this app absolutely perfect, would be if it had the ability to insert images into the notes. Would love the ability to have a visual reference right there, versus having to hunt down the image of whatever it was that past me was referencing 😅

Absolutely great! The update fixed my widget issue. Thank you ColorNote! One of the few apps I immediately look for when I get new phone. I've used ColorNote for yeeeears. I love (and depend on) the widgets I put on my specified screen, they keep me so organized. The notes have lines, love the checklist. No freehand. They can be color coordinated. I depend on ColorNote to help me get through my daily life.

Using app for about 3 or more yrs, perfect! It does what I need it to do w ease & no annoying adds bothering you every 2min. write a bunch of poetry & other things, I'm a contractor, so notes, material lists, schedules, links....i just keep a lot of notes.. what's great are the color coated categories so I can go right to what I'm looking for w out searching through the thousands of notes. I've been through about 4 or 5 phones w this app, I simply download it on néw phone & everything is there!

👉Are you OBSESSIVE about note-taking? Feed that obsession with ColorNote! This app is easy to use & has great features - like encrypted cloud sync across all your mobile devices. A Tutorial is in Settings (see the three-bar icon at the bottom-right). Go through all the settings and have a look around to see all the options. 🌜Dark Mode is in Settings/Theme. The menu at the top-right changes when editing notes – notice the useful REVERT option, in case you want to get back to your original note.

I use this CONSTANTLY. I have several notes I keep for shopping lists to different stores. As soon as I think of it, it goes on the list. One for what I need to talk to the doctor about during my visit. One for the Vet. I use them to record ideas, recipes, quotes I like, all kinds of things. I seriously don't know what I would do without this app.

The best notepad app there is. But I really wish there was a compatible PC version. that would auto sync with each other. as I have a separate notepad on my computer. But I have to type them into both my phone app and my PC separately. otherwise best note app out there. Also premium is super expensive though. not worth it really. (5 USD a year for the highest tier subscription would be a fair price.)

I used to write everything on sticky notes and notepads, and I wanted an app that felt exactly like that. This is it. It has a minimalistic interface and no ads. Some of my ongoing notes are incredibly long, but I haven't experience any issues since I started using it a decade ago. Bonus points because my phone once permanently died on me unexpectedly, but I was able to recover all of my notes through logging in on my laptop since I didn't even realize I was connected through Gmail.

I appreciate having a place where I can save everything and anything I start to write and don't finish. I get carried away writing often, and this gives me a place to store my many rants and too long texts. They'll never get sent, but I don't want to delete them either. It's good to keep track of any lists and reminders as well. It has a nice lock feature too! If I lock a note, it requires a password in order to open it in the future. It's color coded to help keep me organized as well!

Edit: I wrote the below review in a panic, then googled how to restore from a backup. Notes are back but not the one I was writing, which really sucks but I'm gonna look past it for now since I've had few problems with this app and have used it for years. Leaving this up for anyone who runs into same bug. - Years of notes gone. I was in the middle of writing something down and the page changed, the UI was different, and every note I had ever taken had vanished. I feel like I'm going to cry.

I prefer this App over any other Notes app available for mobile phones. It's got a great "No frills, solid Memo" approach that isn't choked with advertising. I also like that I can Save & Send my Notes. Most apps display differently from one device to another. This one doesn't come with that annoying learning curve. I will be hunting it down to add onto my next phone. Always.

App has been great since I downloaded it several yrs ago. Works well, for me. Love that I can keep it a light yellow, so it doesn't blend in with my screen wallpaper & is easier to tap on for quick info references, notes & that notes /info, can be shared, also. Saves item / webpage links. I usually use a few saved info notes the most, but can't pin them to the top. So far, just a pinning option would be my only request, if it still works well with it. if not, then I understand lol

I absolutely love this app, I've been using it for years & every time I change phones it's one of the 1st apps I download. I have 2 kids & a terrible memory so I use this to take notes for everything whether it be shopping lists, things I need to remember to do, important dates, ect. I love that you can transfer all of your notes between devices without losing them & unlike paper notebook, all of your notes are right in your phone wherever you so you always have them when you need them.

I've used this app for probably a decade or so. It's been great for brainstorming ideas and not losing everything if/when I have to transfer phones. I recently decided to upgrade to Premium for the additional options offered, only to see that there's an AI assistant and no way to disable it. I know I'll probably get a generic "it's optional, you don't have to use it" reply, but that's absolutely not the point. If you're going to push AI into an app, give your *customers* a way to turn it off.

Fantastic note taking app. Everything works as you would expect. The one thing I've been hoping they'd add, (I've been asking the developers and have not yet gotten feedback), is that it needs the option to use biometrics for the locked notes. it's annoying having to always put in my password to access the note and giving the option to use biometrics instead would be a huge quality of life improvement.

Absolutely love this app. I use it for random ideas, a quick jot down of things I need to remember later, and I make lists of EVERYTHING so this has helped a lot. I wish there was an way to customize color, RGB selection, ya know? Please do this! I have the free version but will upgrade to premium to get more cuztomization options. I don't use the calendar, but I'm gona check it out. I highly recommend this app if you're someone who has a need to write everything down!
