Universal usability focuses on making the app easy to use for everyone, regardless of their technical skills or physical abilities. This could involve a streamlined interface, voice control options, and compatibility with assistive technologies such as screen readers. Ensuring compatibility with standard accessibility settings on both Android and iOS is vital.

Usability Assessment

The app's usability hinges on its intuitiveness and ease of navigation. Clear instructions, helpful tooltips, and a well-structured menu system contribute to a positive user experience. User testing with individuals of varying technical abilities is essential to identify areas for improvement.

Adaptive Capabilities

Adaptive capabilities allow the app to adjust to the user's specific needs and preferences. This might include personalized settings for audio processing, customizable alerts and notifications, and the ability to track hearing aid usage and performance. The degree to which the app can be personalized directly impacts its accessibility value.

Personalized Audio Settings

Allowing users to create and save custom audio profiles based on their individual hearing loss and listening environments is an important adaptive capability.

Comprehensive support options are crucial for addressing user questions and resolving technical issues. This includes in-app help resources, FAQs, video tutorials, and access to customer support via phone or email. Responsiveness and quality of support are key factors in ensuring a positive user experience.

App connects to charger, but fails during update at 3 min. Reinstalled app with same result. Called tech support and was told the issue would be sent to software support and she would call me back in about an hour, that was 6 hours ago...I am unable to use the app, because it won't allow me to get past updating. There is no download page on their website, or tools available for troubleshooting. I'm also less than thrilled with their website. Day 2 and so far unimpressed.

My phone easily paired with the charger. The app correctly identified the serial numbers of the charger and both hearing aids so I know the phone is "talking" to the charger. But none of the controls work. Not one. No Sound Match, no volume control, no filter selection. In reading past reviews, this is a known problem but Eargo has no solution. I'd go so far as to say it's false advertising.

This app (and the Eargo5 by extension) is GARBAGE! The app simply doesn't work; it keeps freezing, restarting, and quits randomly. What is the point of having these hearing aids if I can't even use them properly? What a total joke...I will be returning these hearing aids and requesting a full refund. I would advise everyone to stay away, it's a complete waste of time.
