Overall, it works fantastic! It connects quickly to my printer and the printer prints quickly! Much faster than my other printer (not the same brand). The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is because our internet line got cut while someone was working in the yard. after reconnection, the printer would not reconnect! It was a brand new printer. It was working beautifully before this. It would not connect and sometimes not find our internet connection. We finally fixed it. It was not easy.

I hate the app! I want to print straight from my phone not go to an app and set up print each time. Plus all the data it is collecting. If you try to opt out you are denied access to use the printer you bought. The printer is right beside my router but it wants a precise location of my phone! All are blue tooth compatible why do you need to know where my phone is located? Too much data collecting and selling for me. won't purchase again.

The app is terrible. I have a new android phone and 1 gig internet but the printer almost never links to my Internet without multiple tries. Is this issue the app or printer, who knows. Also I assume the printer has zero memory because if you accidentally move off the print screen after selecting print, the printer stops. I never had any problems with previous brands. The printer is also frustrating because the digital screen may be 1.5 inch square and it's impossible to see.

A lot is easy, but there's no way to cancel a print job, search feature doesn't answer if it can't be found. It's a serviceable little machine, but for some of it, being a 20 year IT veteran was necessary, mostly regarding how to coordinate between app and printer. Oh, it gets worse. Much, much worse. It suddenly announced that it had lost connection to the Wi-Fi for no apparent reason. All the help articles, given Epson doesn't care, refer to selections that don't exist. Great. Now what?

The app seems to struggle whenever I try to print out multiple documents. In some cases, it'll completely back out of the entire process without any confirmation. There's no real indication as to why this happens; I could either be attempting to rename the file itself or it fails to save. Sometimes the app will even lose a connection with the printer. I can refresh, and it'll reappear, sure, but when I'm in the middle of that, it can be incredibly cumbersome and thus unreliable.

Most horrible experience ever with a printer. I switched from HP and now I cannot do a thing. I want the control panel on my all in one desktop. Unable to load the smart print (even though it says compatible), unable to have any easy screen on my desktop that controls the printer. The instructions send me to 3 different pieces of software. Crazy. I am so frustrated I am going out shopping for a new printer. Avoid Epson at all costs.

So the biggest downfall of the app, in my opinion, is that you can't close the window out or do anything else on your phone while printing. If you do, it'll cancel the print job. So if someone calls or you check a text, it cancels the print. It has been the only sure fire way that I can print in general, though. I've had a lot of issues recently printing from my computer or by sending it from my phone, but if I open the app and do it that way, it works.

This is a convenient way to print, however the reason I rated it low is because I can't choose to multiple photos on one single sheet of paper. I have 4 different photos that I would like to all be printed as 3.5"X5" but all on one 8"X10" page, so I'm not wasting papers and ink doing them one at a time. Microsoft software would allow this- but since I'm not using a computer, I wish this app could handle that so I could do it from my phone.

I recently bought the Epson All-In-One ET-3850 printer, which is an updated version of a previous model. I'm so impressed with the Epson Smart Panel software! With this new app I was able to set up the All-In-One FROM MY SMARTPHONE! Really cool. Not necessary to do the setup by using the arrows and staring at the small 2" X 2" screen (which I had to do last time). Once setup, you can use the app to print with greater ease directly from your smartphone or computer. Overall great experience

Super slow app and printing is slow to start and slow while printing. More often than not, the printing will not print on both sides of the page. Phone has to be very close to work(same room) and open to the app. If your phone rings, printing stops. I have not figured out how to use the phone while printing without a halt in printing. Apparently the printer itself can make a pdf file but how one sends this without paying additional fees is still a mystery. Not worth it even for a tree hugger.

It's horrible in this time period that I must physically connect my phone to this Epson printer. Even though my wi-fi signal shows 'excellent' signal strength, the printer would print one thing and either not print again without a complete reset or quit halfway through the next print job. Even when using the Direct setup without internet, the same occurred. With an OTG and USB cable, it's working now, but even then, the 1st download had a 'bug.' So frustrating! My Canon never had a problem.

Installed on my computer and after a few months, I can no longer print from computer. I can print from my phone with no problems. I'm not sure what happened but I keep getting an error message saying that the printer isn't connected to a network but I'm printing from my phone using WIFI. Deleted everything and restarted a few times and still getting the same error message. ATP I'm super frustrated because it just stopped working all of a sudden.

Haven't been able to print from my phone in weeks. Finally sat down to troubleshoot and even though my phone and printer are on the same network, which the app recognizes, AND it finds the printer, I am getting "failed to connect, close Smart Panel and open it again" over and over. There is no contact information for support on the app and the FAQ does not address the issue.

Incredibly useful. I use it to print via my phone instead of my computer since it's so much faster and easier. Everything i need to print is on my phone anyway. The autocorrect and sharpness settings are lifesavers, too. I wish i could tweak the exact brightness/contrast/etc. on my own instead of having on/off buttons, but it still works well without, so i can't complain.

Picky picky picky!!! The sheet is not the same size as my paper, don't make me walk to the printer and cancel it, just fix it! Ask me to print on my paper size, I don't care! Then I want to print something else, oh no you just printed something and the app says it's still in print screen, well just queue it up instead of throwing an error message at me!

It works great, once I figured out the hitch. It won't stay connected to my computer, never has, and for the longest I couldn't figure out what to do. I found out FINALLY just , when I go to the Epson app, it autoconnects. Then I can proceed with any function. Why's that not written anywhere? That's a bug that should be fixed.

App crashes if I try to print a file in the app. Have to find the file and "open with", which is a pain. App also crashes when I try to save a scan of any format. I can't even use the thing I paid more for, the scanner. Clearing cache, uninstalling, doesn't help. No system to report the bug, it just gives me a popup that says "try updating the app when the developer fixes this bug"

I received a WF 2950 printer as a gift. Glad I didn't pay for it LOL. Downloaded app and connected via Wi-Fi. When I tried to make a copy through the app it said it couldn't find the product and asked if I wanted to reset the connection! Tried that and failed several times. Not being able to find the product also prevented me from completing a user feedback survey offered through the app. Not being able to use less expensive ink cartridges is another negative. Getting rid of it

useless app. I've wasted about 2 hours trying to get it to work and all I ever get are connection errors. turn 5G connection on and off, it'll print from the computer off the 2.4 band. But as far as the app on the phone goes, it just cannot be made to work or if it can, I'm not sinking any more than 2 hours into it. Android version 15.

It can use a few more things to help sharpening the pictures making quality of pictures more enhanced. Maybe something that is like a meter that you can slide back and forth to enhance the subject or the background making it brighter or lighter the sharpness the colors. Instead of just having a high medium and low. I believe it would make the pictures more professional.
