Description

Flex offers a convenient solution for managing your monthly rent payments by allowing you to split your rent into two payments. This flexibility can help you pay your rent on time, improve your cash flow, and establish a positive credit history. By contributing a portion of your rent each month, you can unlock a credit line that assists you in paying your rent in full to your property by the due date. This approach provides you with the freedom to select payment dates that align with your financial situation, offering greater control over your expenses. It's important to note that Flex is a financial technology company, not a bank, and it collaborates with Blue Ridge Bank, N.A., and Lead Bank to offer credit lines. To access a credit line, you must undergo an application and credit assessment process. The credit line amount is determined based on eligibility and product, with secured lines of credit available through Lead Bank at varying APR rates depending on your creditworthiness. Additionally, unsecured lines of credit are provided by Blue Ridge Bank or Lead Bank for a monthly membership fee. Flex may report your positive rent payment history and credit line information to national credit bureaus, potentially benefiting your credit profile. In addition to providing a flexible payment schedule for your rent, Flex offers various options for credit lines with different terms and conditions. Secured lines of credit require a security deposit, while unsecured lines involve a recurring monthly membership fee. A bill payment fee is charged when using Flex to pay your rent, along with an additional card processing fee for credit card payments. Memberships are set to renew automatically unless canceled, ensuring continuous access to the benefits of using Flex for managing your rent payments and credit history.

Update: My rent was not paid on time! It caused a late fee. Flex refused to resolve the issue. The service is good until you move. Then it's extremely frustrating getting your information straightened out. I have re-linked my new address several times. I wish there was a physical person I could talk to so I straighten this out. I would hate for my rent to not be paid on time because flex hasn't resolved the issue. I have also sent emails and have contacted them though the app as well.

EDIT: I've been using Flex for maybe 2 years now. Makes budgeting easier and I've seen a large jump in my credit report. I honestly like them and they're responsive if you have IT issues which are very rare. Original post: Not off to a great start. I started the process previously and now can't figure out how to use this nonuser friendly app. There is no visible login spot and it continuously tells me my email is used for another account. Can't figure out how to login from any browser or app.

Life-saver for me! For a small fee, I pay about 70% (complete guess without pulling out my calculator) on the 1st, and the remainder on 17th. They cover the full amount when I submit my first payment. Only thing I dont like is they changed my autopay to "off" so when I put money in the Flex account, it didn't not automatically come out. I knew it was off, but its confusing since you can't manually do a payment from Flex account when autopay is set to on. They didn't honor
