Update: My rent was not paid on time! It caused a late fee. Flex refused to resolve the issue. The service is good until you move. Then it's extremely frustrating getting your information straightened out. I have re-linked my new address several times. I wish there was a physical person I could talk to so I straighten this out. I would hate for my rent to not be paid on time because flex hasn't resolved the issue. I have also sent emails and have contacted them though the app as well.

EDIT: I've been using Flex for maybe 2 years now. Makes budgeting easier and I've seen a large jump in my credit report. I honestly like them and they're responsive if you have IT issues which are very rare. Original post: Not off to a great start. I started the process previously and now can't figure out how to use this nonuser friendly app. There is no visible login spot and it continuously tells me my email is used for another account. Can't figure out how to login from any browser or app.

Life-saver for me! For a small fee, I pay about 70% (complete guess without pulling out my calculator) on the 1st, and the remainder on 17th. They cover the full amount when I submit my first payment. Only thing I dont like is they changed my autopay to "off" so when I put money in the Flex account, it didn't not automatically come out. I knew it was off, but its confusing since you can't manually do a payment from Flex account when autopay is set to on. They didn't honor

I ran into some financial difficulties in February and had to pay out of pocket. I must have misunderstood Flex during the 1st of the month payment. I thought that Flex would automatically take care of that payment and I could reimburse the total amount on the second payment but that did not happen. So what was the $500 for I saw on my account before I got locked out of the app? Yes, on my phone the account doesn't show the balance and split payments for March. I've re-loaded the app..nothing

3-6-26 now I've got a message saying my account is frozen. Jesus, at support, walked me through this process because there was an error in the app that did not allow me to make the payment via the app. I followed his instructions and we did this within the deadline. Financially I (who can) can take such last minute surprises.

First the amount for my first payment went up while it was not reflected in my payment schedule in the app and then I was given a 3pm ET deadline to bring my balance in the app up to where it needed to be, but when I did with an hour or more to spare they don't make the payment and I then get charged an extra $150.00. This is bogus.

The app is a coin toss on whether or not it'll actually open. Normally this is whatever, because they auto draft your rent. But if you're paycheck to paycheck, I can't recommend. We have a delicate balance. Flex had my second payment scheduled for the 18th. I was scheduled to get paid the night of the 16th. They tried to take the payment during the day on the 16th, when I had no money in my account. My rent was unpaid while I tried to get the app to open all day. No browser version. Annoying.

Good app for the most part. Have used it for several years without problem until today. Unfortunately does not tell users that certain properties are "integrated" into flex and have no control on transactions. This will also mean if you need to refund a transaction that they are unable to do so. So consider any transaction as final.

it's helpful but i hate the while gotta do a fee to use it and you can't choose how much to pay first. you also have to pay their additional fees at the same time as the other bills; so if you literally are just getting enough...they'll take their monthly before rent...but you can't seperate the pay date of the two. seems like it should also be the LOWER amount paid first since your ya know...clearly needing time. (also why no bank link?!?)

The level of incompetence displayed in your buggy app that only works 30% of the time is truly astonishing. Locked out of my account for an hour because I have "exceeded" too many login attempts. I successfully logged in each time and was soft locked in a Phone Number consent pop up that required me to close the app and reopen it because it wouldn't accept my acknowledgement, causing my "exceeded login attempts". MANY other issues as well. Stay far away from this app & service.

Flex put an authorization on my card, so it seems like a double payment. My account went negative, and now I have overdraft fees. It's been 4 days!!! This is unacceptable, and there doesn't seem to be a real person that I can talk to at Flex, just a bot. The bot did confirm that my payment was covered and advised to talk to my bank, but not having a real person to talk to is frustrating.

The idea behind this app is fantastic! Split your monthly rent payment and add funds at any time. I also liked the idea of being able to enter both a primary and backup card. But that's where it breaks. You can only add funds from your primary card, and even if you have a backup listed it doesn't actually charge it. You can't use it to add funds either. Even worse, you have to retype all the information every single time if you want to use multiple payment methods.

Charges a monthly fee on top of charging you to pay the bill itself... both times. So you'll spend about an extra $15-$30 a month on top of whatever the bill is. And even if u don't use them to pay the rent that month they still want the monthly fee. If not paid they threaten to bar you from using the app and that the credit you were approved for will be removed. Have had it for a year now and would've saved about $205 in fees NOT using it. Edit. 01/10/25. Membership fees are now $14.99/month

Worst experience ever! 3rd month of using, they withdrew money from account and didn't pay my rent. There's no live person to talk to regarding your account, only an option to chat through the phone app. That chat operator told me to take it up with my bank because they couldn't (wouldn't) help me. I called my bank and canceled my flex membership. They can keep the $14.95 processing fee they charged me to not process a darn thing. 100% would NOT recommend!!! It has been almost 3 months-no refund

decided to use Flex as another means to build credit. Figured rent is always in the budget so could only help. It is so simple and direct. Reports accurately and doesn't delay payment steps. This app has been super helpful. I do wish they would bring back a way to hold extra funds. I used to add the funds then it would automatically take payments from there. but overall great app

the app is easy to use except for trying to change the following month payment date. it's getting late in December and I still can't set up January rent. I dislike that I'm forced to use this because the property owners have removed the same functionality (without a line of credit) from rentcafe. so this feels pretty scammy. but it does help me out of a situation I have zero control over. so, cool, I guess.

The customer service is poor. I was having problems with this application. I paid my November rent early, and on November 1st, the application made changes to pay with their routing number and checking numbers which I have already paid with the account I had to pay with on file. There wasn't any emails prior to these changes to the app to avoid confusion.

If I could give -0 stars I would!!! Flex has been holding onto my money for almost two weeks. And there is no one to speak to by phone. I've had nothing but frustrating chats with AI to chat with for the full duration of my "Refund" request. This is the worst APP ever. I strongly suggest avoiding Flex. And they continue to take money for the monthly fee.

Flex is great but it would be even greater if it had a way to pay with your bank routing number too, in case your cards get hacked. also, I didn't know 2nd payment is automatic and will take from you on the schedule date of 2nd payment, which i dont like, it makes me feel like im being stolen from when im not looking. 2nd payment should not be automatic, in case pay day lands on a different date than expected. you also cant change the 2nd payment date. this app has a lot of potential but flaws

I've spent an entire half hour since the update (that I had to uninstall multiple apps just to download) trying to get back into my account/get it to send me a code to log in because apparently that's the only way to do it and now its saying I've exceeded my attempts and to wait an hour when I never received any of the codes in the first place. this is so beyond obnoxious and frustrating.
