So, let's wrap up. Good things: I got everything, the app interface is ok. Bad things: I couldn't set proper address, I was waiting my order for more than one hour instead of 20-25 minutes and frozen food was melted, I had issues with payment and they ticked my promocode as used after my first attempt so I paid 15 euros more than I was supposed to. Thanks, but I'm done with this, I'm back to Wolt.
The only way to review restaurants is nowadays through a one-time pop-up window in browser, one day after the order and not if you have ordered something else in between. No way to write reviews in app. Refunds are not satisfactory. My order was missing items and as a refund I received the amount I had paid extra as bonuses that expired in one month. So basically as a refund I had to deposit the spent money to Foodora for 30 days. Other than this the app works well, so not completely useless.
Functional but not easy to use. Have about 30 orders so far. Food does not usually come all the way to my door. Delivery men just park at the street where I go pick up the order. This is despite me having detailed address entered and clear instructions on how to reach me with door code and everything. Interface is clunky but still functional. You could just try calling the restaurant directly and ask if they deliver on their own. Would be easier. Functions best in Helsinki.
Still no option to leave feedback for the orders, and I've had the app for about a year. I click on the pop-up that tells me to leave feedback, at a random time after I've gotten my order, app just always opens on the front page. The order with a terrible restaurant experience "mysteriously" disappeared from my orders list, as did my "friend" coupon. We were both supposed to receive the 8e coupon. He got it, we used it, but i didn't get mine. This app has a very confusing interface as well. >:(
App design - perfect! But that doesn't matter when the service is simply dismal & utterly annoying. I have missed quite a few lunches coz none of the payment options were working - even lost vouchers. The one time I managed to pay, the courier left the food at the reception after which I got a call 45 minutes later to get my cold food. Customer service takes 3-4 days to answer any complaints and then sends some generic response. I could go on but that's it for now...
My order was delayed for more than 1hr and there's no customer service easily available (Wed at 21pm). It says that the order can't be canceled either. So they straight up lie about the delivery time and then, after you pay, they updated the time from 20-30m to 70-90m, and make it impossible to cancel. The delivery time accuracy is JUST as important as the price. I should be able to cancel the order if the delivery time is updated. I do not appreciate this act in bad faith.
This used to be a 4 star review, but after pizza-online changed to foodora it went worse. And now it has been updated from bad to terrible. Really buggy and sluggish app in total. After 3rd login it finally allowed me to make an order. Adding foods to cart went suprisingly well nothing wrong with that. But then it didn`t have any addresses or payment methods saved, well i add them. Oh a suprise when placing order i have to login yet again, after that just go ahead and insert all the data again.
It's like the estimated delivery time is some kind of joke. I've waited over 2 hours on more than one ocassion for delivery, specially with the pizza and kebab. The food is usually cold, and Foodora seems to be totally unbothered by this fact. I usually need to wait a few days to be able to write the review. It could be a nice app, if Foodora bothered to track the delivery time and food quality on a regular basis.
Imagine ordering food but with a twist! 80% of time you have NO idea how the food will look like, NO idea what is actually included in a meal, NO way to contact customer care, NO way to have suggestions. I always end up googling images of the meals before orders and this has been my experince and many times I just quit and go to my freezer and pick something random instead. Nothing about the app, just the platform is quite frustrating to order actual food.
Bad experience overall. If you try to use coupons you can't pay with cash and unless the voucher section is clear, card payments don't work, thus making you remove the voucher. This has happened on multiple occasions with different banks. Some pages say "Free delivery" And still charge a 5€ delivery fee. Overall very bad app, I recommwnd using some alternatives, for example Volt, etc..
Not counting in any problems that are caused by the individual restaurants, I've been having trouble with loosing my vouchers due to a payment failures. It seems like the app uses up these vouchers before the payment has been completed successfully. To this day I've canceled at least 3 orders due to this problem, Foodora might actually get better income from not having this feature at all rather than have people loosing their vouchers for no reason. Otherwise the app has been working well.
Dogshit app that doesn't work: full of bugs, shows incorrect delivery fees (delivery fee of 5€ might be suddenly doubled in the order summary (which is a straight up scam) ), vouchers don't always work and the general usability of the app is trash. Sometimes the delivery time shows 5 minutes and you end up waiting for an hour or sometimes it might say it has been delivered even if it hasn't. Only reason why someone might use it over Wolt is free deliveries on some occasions.
Worst possible app. The restaurant menus change faster than you can order and keep dropping stuff out, even though the restaurant has an item, it does not appear in the app for one day, then next day it's there and the next it's gone again. In one instance I couldn't even get salt from Subway as seasoning. I suggest you try absolutely anything else but this app.
Never have I before had such trouble ordering food. Somehow my order history changes based on if I use the browser version or the app. Also, last time I ordered I could change the ingredients in a pizza if I wanted to but that feature seems to be gone now (same restaurant). The address recognition is horrible and it didn't let me order because apparentlu my address doesn't exist. Oh did I mention that for no reason I get an error payment failed? Something has to change to keep me using this app.
Updated review: on top of being ridiculously expensive, this app now comes with an in built scam where you can get foodora pro for 30 days "for free" but the thing is it never goes through, so I'm still having to pay for delivery. On top of that I now have no idea whether or not I'm going to have 7 € randomly pulled off my bank account next month because I was dumb enough to try out their "free trial" which I have no use for. I will take legal action against the company if they take my money.
It's so stupid that you keep "temporarily closing" places when it's always the free shipping ones and a place that had free shipping that already costs like 12€ for a meal also now takes 12€ for delivery. That is laughable. No one in their right minds would pay the same price as the meal for delivery. I was gonna order food but I think I'm gonna just walk to the store.
The app has become so useless that your phone can't even close the app. It keep refreshing the page you can't confirm the location or anything, as you can't get passed the landing page you can't even browse the restaurants, I've reinstalled the app multiple times. I wonder how many lost orders foodora is loosing on this. Maybe it's time to move to wolt or Uber eats permanently and bury this junk.
Payment, contacting the company, interface all are good, but there are some problems. First, my address is in the swedish name, and this frequently causes problems with the delivery, and I simply can't find a way to fix this. Second, there is no tracking, which is something trivial nowadays since everyone has a phone...
Already have been favouring Wolt over Foodora for their easier to use app/website and better restaurant selection, but the last straw was when I (unfortunately) got to experience their customer service. Food was delivered to the wrong address, and all they could do was refund the purchase and offer a 6€ voucher (about 10% of order) valid for 30 days. Copy pasted pleasantries and couldn't even re-place our order but told us to do it ourselves. Customer service confirmed this was their policy.
Used it for a few years all was fine, accidentally deleted app and now if i try to log into my account it just creates a new one and when i try to put in my phone number it gives "this number is already associated with another account" and account to which it doesn't let me login to. It also doesn't let me manually imput my address and if i do it and hit enter it changes to compeletly different address. This app clearly doesn't want my money so i won't give it any and neither should anyone else.
