So, the service itself works well. I can get prescriptions, meet with providers, and receive the care I need conveniently and quickly. However, the providers are hit and miss. In fact, there's one general practitioner who keeps canceling my 30 mins or less before scheduled appointments. I am sure it's because I divulged I am transgender when I was seeking care. I did not have that problem prior.

You can get what you need (prescriptions and lab requisitions) but you will be charged out of pocket for services that should be covered by your provincial providers by loopholes. For example: I couldn't get in to see a healthcare professional, I was recommended Maple. I submitted my health card information and was "verified" on my profile. I proceeded with an online consultation and was billed 65$, because I didn't go in to see a healthcare professional to further verify my health card. 👎

This app is not "free" for me and many others. My working colleague opened up his maple app and I opened mine only to see that the home page is different from the two apps which are exactly the same download. He gets free service and I and many others don't. There should be clear instructions but they don't exist. So frustrating!! I just reached out to Maple "virtual" help and the bot said it's because some people have secondary insurance which is attached to their Maple account. 👎
