Maple — Online Doctors 24/7

So, the service itself works well. I can get prescriptions, meet with providers, and receive the care I need conveniently and quickly. However, the providers are hit and miss. In fact, there's one general practitioner who keeps canceling my 30 mins or less before scheduled appointments. I am sure it's because I divulged I am transgender when I was seeking care. I did not have that problem prior.

You can get what you need (prescriptions and lab requisitions) but you will be charged out of pocket for services that should be covered by your provincial providers by loopholes. For example: I couldn't get in to see a healthcare professional, I was recommended Maple. I submitted my health card information and was "verified" on my profile. I proceeded with an online consultation and was billed 65$, because I didn't go in to see a healthcare professional to further verify my health card. 👎

This app is not "free" for me and many others. My working colleague opened up his maple app and I opened mine only to see that the home page is different from the two apps which are exactly the same download. He gets free service and I and many others don't. There should be clear instructions but they don't exist. So frustrating!! I just reached out to Maple "virtual" help and the bot said it's because some people have secondary insurance which is attached to their Maple account. 👎

I never have an issue with this app. Easy to use and when I need a doctor or an easy prescription filled I can get it done and a full chat with a doctor within 10 minutes. No stress at all very professional and efficient.

Doctor refused support since I was traveling outside of Canada. Support thought it would be funny to blast me with stock messages without reading first my message to them or the case on how stuff SHOULD work but clearly didnt... support needs to be empowered and funded enough to read first talk second and doctors need better filtering or training on what maples own terms are... Edit. Second doc ignored me, supervisor didn't care. Used another FREE platform who did help me.

The NP I was matched with was easy to talk to, listened and had answers to my concerns. Renewing prescriptions was easy. I was given valuable information and resources to use to hopefully avoid needing another medication.

The maple customer support team are very helpful and professional. They are willing to help you with any type of issues that you don't agree with. They have gone above and beyond with great patience.

good app, it is used for virtual visits for common health issues. wait times can vary by how many requests in a day. health professionals are knowledgeable and friendly they are willing to help.

For those without a family doctor this app has been a godsend. While not the same as a physical consultation for medication refills and minor complaints it is extremely helpful. I am concerned about the soon to occur transition from a provincial provider to an international provider. What online dangers will occur from scammers and various international online threats causing our private data to be stolen and shared to the highest bidder. My fear is not this might happen but when will it happen

It is very hard to navigate the heath care system at the moment it is nice to be able to get on an easy to use app and speak directly with health care providers quickly with respect and patience! Exactly what is needed these days!

I haven't had a doctor in quite some time. this app beats waiting at a clinic. I'm glad to have it. the nurses are always total pros.

Fast and efficient. The nurse help me when I needed it. At first was upset because was ask something really personal but I did open up and everything work well. I will highly recommend.

Health care providers they choose are uncaring at best. For something that has a hefty price tag on, you would expect the top care. Instead you're left with unanswered questions, irrelevant "diagnosis", no care plan and zero follow up. The pediatrics option is a total joke as well, where they really only have NP's attempting their hand at it. If you're in Canada, there are SO much better options out there for virtual providers that I would highly recommend seeking first.

As part of the eVisits program this has been a great time saver for me. However, the interface is mediocre at best and I need to do the same basic intake each and every time. The last few times I have used it, the wait time has been over 4 hours - but at least it's waiting in the comfort of my home instead of around a bunch of sick people at a walk-in.

My first experience and it was incredible. So grateful for finding out about this service. Dr. McIntyre was fantastic! Clear, quick, but thorough process. It was so streamlined and easy to navigate. They responded in seconds and helped me to get a desperately needed prescription within 10 minutes. (severe tooth pain and infection). Thank you all very much, you will be highly recommended by me.

I had zero issues with the app. I was able to get care. The doctor I matched with helped me. They set me up with a prescription and walked me through how to send it to the pharmacy I required. A very good experience. I felt heard and cared for. This is the better option as our walk in clinics are atrocious in N.S. you can't even get into them

absolutely garbage app and system. 811 was helpful to direct me here and then this app is pure trash. download the app, and sign in. My email is already is use somehow. reset password takes me back to download the app I already have. try on the computer same thing. took 3 times to finally get a password reset email. AI chat was 0% helpful providing awful suggestions that just lead back to the download page, and then stopped letting me ask questions. nothing is straight forward or clear. shame.

So easy to use and no waiting to get into your doctor. Very happy with this service!

Best experience ever, no waiting in uncomfortable chairs with sick people all over (spreading it) and my doctor was stuck at the hospital doing MANDATORY time there so in an emergency I only had Maple. Love this app
