Description

Panda Express, the popular American-Chinese fast-food chain, promises convenience and culinary satisfaction through its dedicated app. Panda Express app offers undeniable convenience and customization for ordering your favorite stir-fries and bowls. Its mobile ordering, customization options, rewards program, and delivery (in select areas) are appealing features. However, app glitches, limited availability, price discrepancies, confusing rewards redemption, and minimum order amounts create bumps in the ordering experience. Pros: Order Ahead & Skip the Line: Skip the queue and order your favorite Orange Chicken and Kung Pao Shrimp directly from your phone, saving precious time and stomach grumbles. Customize & Save: Tailor your dishes to your preferences with additional sauces, protein swaps, and side options. Save your custom creations for future orders, so your favorites are just a tap away. Rewarding Bites: Earn Panda Express rewards with every purchase, unlocking free treats and discounts to fuel your further cravings. Delivery Delight (In Select Areas): Enjoy the comfort of doorstep delivery in select regions, bringing Panda Express goodness straight to your home. Track Your Order: Follow your order's progress from preparation to pickup, so you know exactly when your hunger pangs will be satisfied. Cons: App Glitch Gremlins: Some users report occasional crashing, lagging, and menu hiccups, potentially disrupting the ordering flow. Location Limitations: Delivery and certain features might not be available in all areas, leaving some fans wanting more. Price Discrepancies: Be aware that in-app prices may differ slightly from in-store prices, so budget accordingly. Rewards Redemption Hurdles: Earning and redeeming rewards can be confusing for some users, with unclear points accumulation and usage systems. Mobile Ordering Minimums: Minimum order amounts for mobile transactions might deter smaller cravings or solo meals.

The app itself is put together very well, BUT how it interacts with orders isn't the best. If I place an order and show early via drive thru, they won't prep it early (even if I am the only one there). It would be quicker for me to order when I am there. There should be an option for drive thru and in-store, so that if you go in the drive thru, they will begin prepping when you pull to the speaker. Otherwise, it would be a good app for me.

If you scan too early or scan too late you simply won't get any rewards. Even worse, you won't know it failed to scan until after you have paid, and by then it's too late. They also no longer give you a receipt code to use when the scan fails. 2 stars because when it does work it is fine. No more than 2 stars because it's the most buggy and error-prone rewards system app I've ever used.

The app is atrocious and won't let me log in. When I try to log in through the app, it opens up an external webpage to enter my credentials instead of doing this natively inside the app, like all other apps do. Once I enter my correct login info, it takes me back to the app, thinking I successfully logged, only to access my account and have another "login" prompt. After 5 tries, it asked me to check my email for a login code, but everytime I entered the code, it said the code was wrong.
