Planes Live - Flight Tracker

Signed up so I can prove to my local airport that I have planes flying directly overhead all day. As others said, you cannot move forward without providing a card (other, similar apps have a free version, this one has a subscription). Once you access the map, there are no live flights when ypy zoom in, despite seeing them when zoomed out. I immediately cancelled the subscription and uninstalled.

I downloaded it just a few minutes ago, but after I see the 3 days free trial and my payment information show up I uninstalled right away. Flightradar24 is better. While I have a subscription with Flightradar24, I can also use it for free with limited options, so I was able to prove it before I decided to open a subscription. Planes live is already a turn off from the way they are introducing this app and marketing it.

Pathetic. You can't "trial it" without accepting to pay for $14 a month thereafter. Or $48 annually. (AUD) What would be a better suggestion. Have a full free version with 1 free live track so we can see what its like; with an in app purchase for -each- country. Reasonably priced not excessively. Specially if you don't need all of them, at least give us an option to choose. Uninstalled.

Have to echo the other reviews on here. Tries to get you to subscribe to the annual payment plan even when you click on the free option. You can get round this by trying to exit the app and it suddenly allows you access to the free version... which turns out to be very poor. Limited info on planes - which can be expected because it's free - but a lot of planes don't even show up! Free or otherwise this makes the app pretty useless. If it can't be relied upon to show a plane then what's the point

Edited. Avoid this app. It tells you to sign up for a free 3 day trial followed by a subscription but it is not clear how to unsubscribe or that you're in fact now subscribed. Make it obvious that you're in a trial period and make it very clear how to cancel. For those who are unsure, you can unsubscribe through the play store subscriptions page.

Installed and opened the app. I get to try it free for three days, but I have to enter a credit card for just in case after the three days. Uninstalled. If you offer a trial, make it free without a payment method required. Just stop the app working after the trial. You lost a customer, I'll just go back to Flight Radar.

My Microsoft 365 subscription doesn't cost me $11.99/month, but it does a lot more for me. Why can't you offer an ad-supported version like everyone else? Those who really want the ad-free version will pay anyway. The non-paying folks just uninstall the app after 3 days and you lose your (potential) ad revenue from them as well.

Not accurate, I live 15 miles from a major airport and often hear planes flying overhead. I've used FlightRadar24 before with no issues, and every plane I hear and see is on the FR24 map. However this app is very inaccurate. Every time I see a plane flying above me, it's never on Planes Live, but is on FR24. Pointless app, plus way too many popups trying to get you to pay for the paid version. Stupid. This app literally shows 2 planes currently flying above Massachusetts and NH total. Lol...

Whst is wrong with these developers? No mention initially that this is a pay only app. That may be ok for some people but when i pay for something I expect it to at least work. i did a simple search for Edinburgh airport and it came up with a wee link to click on. It did not work at all despite trying 4 or 5 times. on the last try it showed me a payment page so the app was instantly deleted. I would suggest that Flightradar 24 is far superior and you can follow worldwide aircraft for FREE.

WTH? I had been advised in the past to use this app to identify and report airlines from lax, and it used to be an excellent tool for enthusiasts, the curious and anybody interested in what's overhead. So, with a change of phones I reinstalled and less than 24 hours later I'm forced to update. And it wasn't an update. It was a complete reimagining of what used to be a better than average and completely user friendly app. Bummer.

Way too many ads to rate any higher. After you get past the opening ad everytime you start, you get another one every 5 to 10 planes you click on. Information on specific planes is less accurate than other apps. I've used it for a week, but going to delete.

All I wanted to do was follow a single flight, which I'm sure most people are downloading this app to do to keep track of loved ones. And instead I can track a flight which seems to do absolutely nothing except show me the estimated course and tell me the scheduled arrival / departure times. Where is the option to filter all the flights off the map except the one I actually want to track??

No opportunity to use free trial without a sufficient credit balance. Bait and hook 🙁 Not at all intuitive as to how to start the neutered free version (which is presumably different from the free trial), but after eventually figuring it out, the app showed 2 planes across the whole of the UK! Similar apps showed over 10 in the same region... Poor.

just like the other apps, let's you have normal access for a day or two then request a subscription for anything else to work. Normally if the ads are on you can still use the app with the option for the subscription, not this app. If you want to pay the fee then I'm sure it's going to work out. Cheers.

Such a confusing app! What are all these planes on the map! All the planes look like they are b737s, and when I click on them, it shows a completely different plane and airline! Also, I clicked on a plane that had 2 engines, and I thought it would either be an A380 or a B747, but no, it was a Triple 7. What the hell! This app can not track planes properly! Flightradar24 is way better!

Truly dreadful app. Hideous UX/UI, map randomly zoom with no logic. Search is frankly pathetic: it won't search by registration. Displayed information is extremely limited. As for airport information, when a phone number is displayed, it refuse to allow you to call from within the app, AND it refuse to allow you to select the fone number and copy (for pasting into your phone dialer app)! Displayed aircraft are identical size icons (a Grob G115 and Airbus A380 are identical on the map). 🙄

Dreadful rip off. The ad on twitter said it was a free app but after installing today, it tells me it's only free for 3 days. It does not appear as a subscription in my Google play profile, so I can't cancel any time as advertised. I have no idea of any alternative Google account it could be shown in! Please cancel this

UGH ... 22 tracking platforms? 11 ad trackers, 10 analytics trackers, 2 profiling trackers, 2 location trackers, and more. Bye, bye privacy! I don't have a question about your privacy policy ... 22 trackers says it all.... It means no privacy ... And they're not necessary; plenty of apps have zero. It's just a way to make money by selling out your users.

Why can't I type in the name of an airport and it takes me there on the map? Why also can I not click a helicopter and add it to my flights? Edit: So laggy and so few features. What is the point of this app when FlightRadar24 is free? Edit2: I had to bare through using this app for 20 minutes to track a helicopter which just took off. Thank goodness the helicopter left radar range and disappeared from this app. Uninstalled as quickly as I could. The software team here needs some help.

I don't put ZERO stars because there is not available. You Took my money without permission, the Free Trial is a lie. I installed the app in my android phone just to see how it was USING THE FREE TRIAL but you still took $8.99 from my Debit card. I'm in Argentina and for us $8.99 is a lot of money that I was saving to buy MY MEDICAL SUPPLY. You did not have permission to get that money from my debit card and I please ask you to give it back since I GOT RID OF this app!!
