Description

The Smart Sound Level Meter app for Android is a useful tool for measuring sound levels. The app uses the built-in microphone of your device to measure the volume of sound in decibels (dB). Additionally, the app displays samples on a graph, making it easy to visualize the sound levels over time. It is important to note that the microphones in most devices are designed to pick up human voices, and as a result, the maximum values are limited by the hardware. This means that very loud sounds, such as those above 90 dB, may not be recognized by the app. Additionally, some devices use automatic gain control, which can interfere with the operation of the noise meter. Overall, the Smart Sound Level Meter app is a useful tool for anyone who needs to measure sound levels. Whether you are a musician, sound engineer, or simply want to monitor the noise levels in your environment, this app can help you get the job done. --- The Smart Sound Level Meter app for Android is a simple and easy-to-use tool for measuring sound levels. Very good. This is the 3rd one I installed and it's a keeper. Exactly what I needed. Update...the meter still works well, but ads pop up every few minutes and the only way to get rid of them is to close out of the app (or just wait for them to play) It's very annoying and I'll be looking for another app

Ads, ads, and more ads. I don't mind an ad to support something, but this might be the most ad intensive app i have ever used. Banner ad at the bottom, then every 30 seconds, a full screen ad comes up, and guess what? Most of the those have sound! That, of course, breaks up your sound testing. Takes two clicks to close the ad, tapping on your phone will record sound and mess with your capture graph again. Insane. No thanks.

It's ok. I don't know how accurate it is, as I don't have a way to verify its readings. The graph function sounded really cool until I found out you can only see the last 60 seconds, which makes the graph useless. Also no way to save the graph that I can see. Also can't customize the appearance at all. So if you want to see dBs in real time, it works for that, but that's it. There are other free dB apps with more features.
