Booked a 3 night room with free change before the deadline, then I wanted to shorten it to 2 nights. Followed the option on the app and got an ok message and to wait for their reply. Later they sent a message saying not ok. But it passed the deadline already so I was not allowed to change free anymore. Complaints logged but no one was able to solve, so I had to bear for the cost. I'm not happy with the hotel though it's not their fault. 1 star for that option button.
Purchasing ticket, I chose an option to upgrade my ticket to make it refundable. When I actually wanted to change or refund, I had to wait for a chat conversation for 30 minutes. Later, he said the refund was not available, and the voucher, which will take 15 days to receive. To change flight was impossible as there were no flights. I really felt scammed and unpleasant with this sort of communication in this age... I have never had these issues with other companies. Very dissapointing.
Have used the app for years of travel, and have recently had a few issues with it. The most jarring being arriving at the train station and seeing the train had been canceled. Trip didn't notify me of this, and didn't refund their booking fee, as, "the tickets had been issued successfully." It's ridiculous to pay a fee for a service that wasn't fruitful. Had to change to a flight, and pay two taxi fees. Needless to say I booked the alternative flight via a different app.
I gave it one star because that's the only way I could write a comment. soo I went to another state and for some reason I had to stay longer, so I booked to stay only for one night at a hotel. In less than 10 min I realized I was very far from it, so I got in contact with a agent of this app to cancel, they told me they were going to get in contact with the hotel to cancel everything which they never did. people from this company are very unprofessional, their customer is horrible!!!
BAIT AND SWITCH Disappointed. App shows a tremendous deal on an upcoming flight that I want to book. Via the airline's website, the cost is about $900. Trip's cost was closer to $500. Same flights/same days. Great deal, right!? As I'm trying to book it, a pop-up message appears "Sorry. This flight just sold out." Attempted to book another flight to a different location... EXACTLY the same pop-up. Bait and switch. Sketchy. Do not recommend!
TERRIBLE AND EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! They'd let you buy their "cancellation guarantee" service when you pay for the flight, which allegedly will refund you 100% when you cancel. But don't be too simple! My flight ticket was $1000 and that service cost $200. When you cancel, they only return your $1000 ticket money but not all the fare!! And when you request refund they will inform you you might receive VOUCHERS rather than real money, and you still have to accept it! What a platform that CHEATS.
I just wanted updates on my bookings. It has been so intrusive to get a barrage of unwanted messages constantly for marketing. As soon as my flight is done I will never use Trip ever again. If they just left me alone I would have easily given 5 stars and been happy to recommend them. Way too much way too often for something I never wanted. Also charging for seat selection which is free is not cool.
App looks cheap and scammy, and most of the so-called 'deals' are also scams- pressure you to put your details in as quickly as possible and then tell you the promotion is unavailable to get you to buy something that you don't want for more money. Has an annoying virtual assistant thing that floats around the screen, and it's next to impossible to actually find anything useful on the app interface - as above, it seems to be designed as a medium for ads and dubious deals rather than usefulness.
A super easy way of finding times of public transport & booking your ticket. However, I didn't have a great time in Italy. Bought tickets but couldn't use the generated QR code at turnstiles.. It doesn't give enough information on whether transport is underground or overground, which caused much confusion & worst of all, on a pre-arranged strike day, my app sold me tickets and told me my trains were on time, despite every one being cancelled. Google knew and it was on multiple train websites.
I’m extremely disappointed with the current beta version of this app. It’s now full and restricted for entering, which means I can’t access my account or check my bookings. This is extremely inconvenient, especially when traveling, as I’m unable to show my bookings to others or contact customer support if something goes wrong. An app meant to make things easier has done the opposite! Please fix this issue and provide better access or alternative solutions for users.

The company's mobile application is reportedly failing to issue tickets correctly, leading to issues such as extended transit periods. This situation poses a significant risk. I experienced a loss of a ticket and was not issued a refund.
One of the worst services I've ever had the misfortune to use. Baggage allocation and seat selections don't update even weeks after being bought and create confusion. Their representatives can't even give consistent advice, with one saying that we dont need to rebook allocations after the flight is changed while the other suddenly tells us that we do, and give us poor seats after cause their processing is slow.
Though they have an option for free cancellation for my hotel booking for a genuine reason in my case it was my wife's ongoing health issue because of which i had to cancel my teavel plan last minute and they simply denied it even after providing all the prescriptions and details. so the request process is there for a name sake and without even doing any proper checking it was simply rejected and i never got my refund.
Booked a hotel last July for December 29 - January 1. Got an email from them on December 26 that there was an overbooking and that they will have to relocate us to another hotel, waited for a day or two, they told us there was no availability of the hotels (hotel options which were given by them). Got frustrated and just opted for a full refund. My family and I planned for this stay 5 months ahead. Never again.
The what so called ticket for youth is scam, not cheaper, creates trouble n hassle. It came with no carry on baggage and no checked in baggage. Some airline doesnt allow add baggage and have to buy baggage in counter. Imagine how to travel during winter with tht kind condition. Making my trip very stressful. It is so traumatized to use this app. I regretted using this app.
if you want a ticket go else where. they took my money for the ticket. then told me technical difficulties on there side after cancelling it. then. told me they would send it back in 7 to ten days time. so i spent last night in a buckies waiting for the rain to stop. checking every ten minites for the refund to book with someone else. and guess what. still not there. so no idear if i can even get home tomorrow. is that a joke or what. ho and. no one to speak to. i surjest never use this service
Very worst service friends don't use this site, since 3 days i wss try yo cancel the ticket and waiting for refund, till now nothing happened tomorrow is departure my flight, they just delaying the time then automatically ticket will be canceled without any refund. Dont use trip. Com app or site for your flights or any other very worst service
Very unsecured application payment failed everytime . I had 3500$ gift card in my account and then I changed my email of the account and after that that email was unlinked from my account with out getting Any otp to my email. I was shocked and contacted trip and they didn't provide me any solution. I lost 3500$ in total.
"The selected price is sold out"...oh do you mean the price you just showed in your search results? Lying to customers to get them on your app/site is terrible business practice. The app is also clunky and needs a complete overhaul
