Description

The "TV (Samsung) Remote Control" app allows users to control their Samsung TV using their smartphone over the local network or with IR (if the android has an infrared port). There are two options available for users: network IP control and infrared control. Network IP control works with C, D, E, F, K, and M (2016+) models, but not with H and F models. Users need to ensure that their TV is turned on and that their mobile device and TV are connected to the same home network. If the router supports a privacy separator function, it should be disabled. Users can also enter the TV's IP address manually. Infrared control works on phones and tablets with built-in IR blasters such as Samsung Galaxy S, HTC ONE, LG G3/G4/G5, Xiaomi Mi/Redmi/Note, Huawei Mate/Honor, etc. It has been tested with Samsung TV F and M models, but it probably works with other Samsung Smart TVs built in 2005 and later. Users must point their phone's IR blaster directly at the TV, and the usual working range is 4-10ft (1-3 meters, max ~5 meters). However, with some phones in power-saving mode or with almost empty batteries, the IR blaster might not work or the range might be less than 5ft (2 meters). The app is not intended to replace the original TV remote but is handy in emergency situations such as when the original remote is lost or has empty batteries. It is ready to use, and there is no need for pairing with the TV. If the app does not work with the user's phone or TV, they can email the author with their exact TV and phone model, and the author will try to add support for their phone or/and TV model. The app is not affiliated with or endorsed by Samsung Group, and Samsung is a trademark of Samsung Group. So far its been great. I lose tons of stuff but the only thing that I have trouble finding most is my remote. out of desperation I came on here to see if there was an app otherwise I'm stuck watching the same channel and can't get it off. Its works just like my regular remote, simple to figure it out, only had to pair it once and luckily didn't need my remote to do it. I wish I had come across it earlier. PLEASE dont make the same mistake others do and try to upgrade to make it fancy. Its PERFECT

New Updates! FASTER! I came here specifically to say that whatever you've done lately to the app has significantly increased the speed of it uploading at launch! It is SO much better. I've used this for a long time, and the launch delay was very frustrating, especially when i wanted to quickly mute or pause the TV when a kid walked into the room. Now it's actually fast!

Works very well with my Samsung. No problems turning on or off. I would consider buying an add free version if it were available. It sucks having to wait for an add to finish just to pause or mute a show. Another cool feature would be the ability to customize the layout. I'd like to hide buttons I don't use and move the frequently used buttons to the top.
