I used to play this game a ton in its early days, so I decided to come back to it this year. The UI is so cluttered now. It takes a couple of minutes to clear all of the popups when you first open the game. And then, after you complete a level, there are more pop-ups for different game modes, and currencies, and up-sells. It has really soured the game for me.

It's a cute little time waster and I absolutely love the scavenger hunts but it would be nice if there was a way to earn gold to play higher than the second area of said scavenger hunts. Very money grab sort of game. Edit: Had to drop my rating because they recently added intrusive ads to the game. I can only make a couple moves before another one pops up. And it says to pay money to get rid of them. It's upsetting but I might end up uninstalling. And I'm almost level 400.

Great if you like annoying popups !!! Just opening the game is 2 minutes of popups trying to push their paid packages and tournaments and there's no way to shut this off. Also for the last week, I can't get into the game without being redirected to the website for "black Friday deals" and there's no way to get past it without going to the website. Fun game, I really like it, but I may have to delete because i spend more time being annoyed at the popups than playing the game. Do better 👎🏻👎🏻

After many years of enjoyable play and quality time playing with my husband during our nightly ritual, this game took a turn for the worse and recently decided to show flashy and annoying ads at the top of the screen during game play! I feel betrayed. There is no option to make them go away. They are distracting and change every few seconds with video. Right near the game goal stats. It's unplayable now. Good-bye forever. Deleting this app now.

Found this game through reward play. I enjoyed it in the beginning but I finally deleted it because it got WAAYY too hard. I was over level 500 and items needed just weren't there! It was frustrating buying extra moves OVER and OVER because (for example) the nesting dots were never there in the amount of moves given. I can't remember the names of the other items, but it was the same thing-they weren't there in the amount of moves given

Just started playing today & I'm addicted. UPDATE: I've reached level 2400 & that is the final level til further notice. So the levels increased & I beat them. Two dots is so fun that I do not mind waiting a couple weeks for updates. I wish they included more of the scavenger hunts because they're so fun. Great app. UPDATE: I hadnt played in a while. Of course now there are so many ads, every 30 or so seconds, that the game is no longer fun. Uninstalling smh.

The game used to be phenomenal years ago. Now it's just a pay to win complicated mess. It's a dot matching game but also a picture search game? Every time you lose a level it advertises the power ups that you can purchase if you don't have any. Came back to this game after years and it's safe to say it's ruined now. If you want a puzzle game look elsewhere

2 types of puzzles. SEARCH & FIND = I think some items on the page are placed later in the game, making the search frustrating when you know you have looked in the spot where item is later found. MERGING DOTS= Moves along nicely until upper levels. Harder is OK, but it appears the program sets up to fail. you need matching dots to merge and even when they are mixed, the dots are mixed colors, unable to merge unless you purchase extra helps.

Overwhelming visual noise. I played this game a number of years ago. I remember it as a relatively chill puzzle game. I tried it out again recently and it's just tons of popups and tournaments and other functions to drive engagement. It's overwhelming to look at all these timers and countdowns and random junk on the screen. Definitely lost it's cool vibes along the way .

I would love this game so much if it was the way it was when it first came out. The soundtrack is amazing and the gameplay is super relaxing. But every time I redownload it I get hit with such a barrage of events and things to buy and collectables that sometimes the app actually seems to slow down. It's overwhelming and frustrating. If you could just give me a way to opt out of all the events, I'd be happy.

It's a fun game with a lot of variety; however, some of the higher levels (145'ish) just aren't fun. No matter how many boosts you get or how good your strategy is, it all boils down to, "did you get lucky." That's not fun. It also feels like it incentives for you to buy extra lives or time. There are some levels that I genuinely don't understand how you could win otherwise. Good game, but I am done playing as it's no longer any fun.

The game is pushy, the ads are predatory, and it takes forever to load. It used to be a simple, lightweight puzzle game that loaded quickly, was intuitive, and was relaxing to play. Now it's overstimulating, takes literally minutes to load on my Samsung S25, and then has 10+ pop-ups you have to acknowledge before you can play. Then, when you win a round there's a very good chance you'll be taken to an inescapable ad for some other game, that you have to close Two Dots to get out of. I'm appalled

Fun and addicting, but the experience is now 80% microtransactions. Between each level, the game prompts you with 3+ different experiences (gold cavern, time trial between other players, etc) that are all basically "pay to win." As you get to higher levels, the game basically requires that you use power ups in order to beat the level and, you guessed it, you have to buy those too. Gone are the days of the original Dots where you could turn your brain off and connect dots idly.

it used to be so much fun, now it's 400 interruptions before you can actually play a game, and then levels aren't beatable. I'm all for challenging, but if I'm clearing boxes every move and still can hit the required counts, you're not giving the opportunity to win, which means luck not skill, and when luck is in your programming and you want me to buy things to make it easier, it's financially better to have me frustrated and stuck. F that, I'm out.

This used to be a good fun little game. It is now just a cash grab. It's sad how the underlying game and ui is still there, but now buried under ads and popups. In between every level, or even in between attempts at one level, you are constantly getting at least 5 or so popups trying to get you to buy powerups, coins, hearts, etc, telling you that breaking your streak is bad so you definitely need to buy more turns, etc. It's literally as bad as a gatcha game with all the convoluted incentives.

I just wanted to play the game - instead I was inundated with so many pop-ups about my tier level, calendar gift, wheel of wonders, scavenger hunts, caves, etc, that I got annoyed and closed it. I've been playing Two Dots for years. Stop trying too hard - stick with what we loved about the game that made it successful in the first place.

Game play is fun. The problem is getting there. Today I had to dismiss 9 screens, including 2 unnecessarily animations. Then I finished the level and got 3 more screens with 1 animation. I just want to play the dots game and have no interest in the scavenger hunt or going to the website for rewards. I don't begrudge the $5 to play without ads. I would play more if I could turn off all the other junk.

I used to play this game a lot but got a new phone and job so I wasn't playing it. I came back about 2 years later now that I am traveling a ton and found horror in the app. First, you can't play without an internet connection, that's ridiculous and ruins the whole point of single player games like this. Second, the pop up ads and in-app purchases are overwhelming and ruin everything this game had going for it. the game play is great, but everything else is horrible. Would not recommend.

What's everyone's new 2dot fix since this is not the first bad review? I played this game from the get go. For 7 years it was amazing. It used to be my go-to to help calm my brain at night. I had spent $ in game. Now, I can't stand to open the application. The art is cute. The popups and mini games that aren't related to the concept of the game have gotten too much. I don't want another card collecting game or all the mini games that are designed for cash grabs. Go back to the roots.

I played this game years ago and decided to come back to it and WOW has it changed. It used to be a relaxing dot matching game. Now it is an overcrowded mess of mini games. When I logged in today I counted SEVEN pop ups to clear through, advertising this mini game, and this power up, and that mini game, before actually getting to the menu to play. This game is so annoying and difficult (so you buy power ups) I don't even want to play it anymore. Uninstalling.
