Be careful with bank account! i loved the free app, but when ads became a deterrent I purchased a month's trial, since it was only 4.99. I figured I would try it for a month and see from there. Problem is, the money continued to come out automatically every month and I couldn't figure out how to get it to stop. After deep searching I found out, but I'm very disappointed with the dishonest way of taking it our of my account.
This app is motivating in the sense that it tracks, records, and archives your walks and shows how many miles you've walked since day one, as well as calories burned. However, there are three workout levels - beginner, intermediate, and advanced. If you switch levels, the app treats it as a whole different progress report. The calorie counts are high and inconsistent. I walked 1.04 miles in 30 minutes one day and 1.11 in 35 minutes another and it said I burned more calories on the 30 min day.
I don't really see much difference in the pro version vs. the free one. I like that the workouts are timed, but I would have rated this higher if the app continued to record the distance & calories burned if/when you go past the time limit for the workout. I like seeing my progress with the current set-up, but it isn't truly accurate if it doesnt give the option to continue recording the route beyond the pre-chosen time period.
Unsure how I feel. I just did my first workout and it was great. It was mapping my progress and all was well. Once I got home and stopped the app none of the data had saved and it said GPS wasn't connected. I have checked my settings and the GPS is on. I'm unsure if this is only available in the premium subscription but I don't like that it showed it all until I was finished. Very unclear.
It is useful for all my weight-loss purposes. The only issue is that occasionally it lose GPS signal, and even once it gets the GPS signal back it quits tracking my speed/pace and doesn't update the number. Also, it sometimes tries to count car rides when calculating the number of steps taken. There should be an option to put it in "car mode" so it temporarily stops tracking steps until you turn it back on.
Doesn't work for my needs which is to map my daily walks with my speeds (mph). Elevation changes and calories burned are a nice addition. The main problem is this app will only allow you to track a 20 minute walk, and/or a 12 minute brisk walk, and a 5 minute cool down. I need to be able to simply track my walk for as long as I want to walk, from beginning to end.
I have used this app in the past with no problems. However, trying to start day 3 and I had to watch ad to continue free use. That's fine except after watching the ad 3 times, I still can't figure out how to get back to the walk🤷
Please avoid this. Useless scam app. Prompted me to try one month for free with an option to cancel any time, and took £17.99 off my account instantly. Now I wouldn't be mad if the app would at least do something, but it's just so simple there's plenty similar apps and at least they are for free. Would be at least fair to get a refund but there's no option for that sadly.
Great for the second time I used this before and lost 30 pounds I figured I was good and did not need it anymore. I was wrong. So I'm at it again, it's easy, encouraging and only takes a few minutes a day, this time I'm gonna keep going 6 pounds down already😊
only been using it for a week now. but all free, you can still listen to your music 🎶 or podcast while using the app.
Love the simplicity of the free version. it meets my needs and is easy to use, giving me the data that I want without extra charges for things I don't need.
this is the most accurate and reliable app out there. I'm very satisfied with it 😁 I do wish however the female voice was a little more upbeat and energetic.
First time using it, I liked the robot voice that reminded me of the timing and what to do next n next, even sometimes I did not listen to it haha
I like this app. My issue it that it's drops GPS near big trees. It doesn't pick it up again. I have no idea how it calculates calories burned because it didn't record the full distance (typically only 1km recurred of a 2.2k walk). So time/km and all splits are 59% off! I really like the idea of the programme and will stick to it for the discipline but I have no faith in the records or calculations. So fine if you live in a town) urban area but no good if you want to vary your walk. Great shame
Installed this app to have something encouraging to boost my walking exercise. Well the app has major errors, it doesn't calculate distances properly. After walking for 30 min it says one has walked only 0.15 km or similar. Messaged the developer, but didn't get a reply. It doesn't pause automatically when one stops for any reason, one has to manually pause it and restart it. Finally, would be nice if it has an actual human voice instead of a robotic computer voice. Don't pay this! Uninstalled!
I'm enjoying the app, as it's getting me back out everyday, but I'm starting to feel cheated once the workout is completed. The app seems to remove all of the distance achieved during the cool down and then some, but then seems to add the cool down time into the miles/minutes stat, adding around 17% to this stat. meaning you can go from maintaining a 17 min/mile to nearly a 21 minute/mile. Quite disheartening.
I love this app! it has kept me walking for over a year now and I actually enjoy it! It's also nice how easy it is to use, the robot voice isn't condescending sounding, straight forward and I feel encouraged to keep going. I've tried a lot of these types of apps and this one is my favorite by far. you can keep track of your daily steps, or if you are into a challenge you can go on a timed guided walk with intervals of fast and slow walking with a cool down that maps your walk. Thanks for this!
Started up the app and was only presented with a request for fitness level you think you are at (in terms of length of walks)... No questions concerning height) height or weight or even age. Also looks like you get 30 free days and then you need to subscribe. Not getting a good impression before even using the app so I'm hopping back out. For now.
They want you to pay for an app that doesn't work.... gps is absolute garbage I'll go 3.5miles and it shows maybe 1 mile... which means calories burned and any additional info gathered is useless. I have to use map my ride for gps tracking to be accurate which means this is really just an interval clock/ timer and you have to watch an ad to use that. Definitely don't waste your money.
its OK, but I uninstalled it. it stops recording your workout after the amount of time that it decides for you. I walked 4 miles, but it did not record the whole walk because the predetermined "workout" was only 30 minutes. seems kind of pointless to only record what an app tells you you should do instead of what you really do.
