Spark Points

This application's strength lies in its potential to consolidate disparate wellsite data into a readily accessible format. This centralization is a crucial spark for improving operational efficiency.

Data Consolidation

The ability to aggregate various data streams related to a wellsite into a single application view offers significant time savings and reduces the risk of errors associated with manual data entry and transfer.

Innovation Triggers

Workflow automation is an area ripe for innovation within this type of application. The automatic generation of reports based on real-time data, triggered by specific events or conditions, could be a game-changer.

  • Real-time Alerts: Implementing customizable alerts that notify users of critical events or deviations from established parameters can enhance responsiveness.
  • Predictive Analytics: Integrating predictive analytics to anticipate potential equipment failures or operational bottlenecks.

Creative Paths

Consider leveraging augmented reality (AR) to overlay wellsite data onto a live camera feed. This could facilitate remote inspections and improve on-site situational awareness.

  • Enhanced visualization of wellsite infrastructure
  • Improved remote collaboration
  • Requires AR-compatible devices
  • Potential for data overload if not implemented carefully

Inspiration Moments

Drawing inspiration from user interface (UI) design in other data-intensive industries, such as financial markets or air traffic control, can lead to novel approaches to data presentation and user interaction.

"Good design is actually a lot harder to notice than poor design, in part because good designs fit our needs so well that the design is invisible."

Breakthrough Ideas

A breakthrough idea would be the incorporation of a secure, blockchain-based system for verifying and tracking wellsite data. This would enhance data integrity and transparency, fostering trust among stakeholders.

Feature Current System Blockchain-Based System
Data Integrity Potentially vulnerable Highly secure and verifiable
Transparency Limited Enhanced

I bought this app in 2018. It WAS great. 1. Lately, I have to sign in like every week, when I literally went years without signing in. Why? 2. Once I sign in, the only wells I can see are my favorites. I contacted support and they told me to re-install. That fixed it for a while, but now I am back to no other wells. If I click the "Show nearby wells", nothing happens. 3. The app is glitchy when it never was before. I just tried to look at it and it would not even open the map. Fix it!

Another great app destroyed by greed. Have had this app for years. This new update has initiated a monthly subscription . I paid for the app, I paid for additional layers, now they want another $10 a month to use this app. I don't use it enough to justify the expense. On top of all that, the update had the shittiest timing. I was unable to sign in for several days. Am uninstalling this waste of data storage, very dissatisfied, as I had a month of subscription left, not credited.

I have used this app for several years and it worked well. Then someone came up with the bright idea to update the site without knowing what they were doing. Now its terrible. I have emailed the company 3 times about missing info (ie.searching by API#) and the confusion of working with this new update. All I keep getting is a heartless "I'm sorry we're currently working on it or it will be fixed and updated tonight". All excuses, no fixes. Don't roll out an update if it is not ready. Not cool.
