UI is absolutely awful. I've lived with that for a while now but the biggest problem is that the Watch Key Plays feature doesn't work on any of my TV apps. It works on my phone and tablet, but not on FireTV, Shield, or the built-in LG App. In all cases it says "no key plays available" but they clearly are because they work on the tablet and phone. Without key plays there is nothing to set YT TV apart from the competition so perhaps I should give alternatives another look.

the UI is slow and clunky, you can never get to the channel guide without an unlock sequence that Rivals that of a nuclear facility. most of the time you end up not being able to watch what you're trying to watch for the first 3 to 5 minutes while you wait for the UI to load and then eventually you're able to watch your show but you may have to sit through a number of ads that may restart depending on if the app

I've got YouTube TV on a couple of Android devices, an AppleTV and my wife's iPhone. I recently purchased a TCL Android TV and installed this app. It works pretty well for the most part, but it has a major UI flaw. After starting to watch something live, there's no way with the remote to get back to the grid menu. I can get to a smaller "Networks" scroll on the bottom..but where's the traditional grid menu I can get on all of the other devices.

I love the service as a Cable TV replacement, the DVR and the interface are great and multiple user profiles for the household are wonderful. I am not a fan of live TV starting to stream as soon as you open the app and hope you can add a toggle to turn this off in the settings soon. There are still no shows ever added to the "Play Next" bar in Android TV, YouTube TV is not alone in this, it only seems to be used by Pluto TV and the HBO app. More a criticism of the service and not the app, there is still no surround audio from all the channels and I know they broadcast to cable tv with that. People using a Android TV box probably use it in a home theater setup so surround would be appreciated. I would also love it if you could change the icon to the dark scheme like on Roku so it doesn't look so much like the YouTube icon on Android TV.

This app suddenly stopped working and finding support is like being lost in a maze. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times.I have exited and signed out multiple times. All other streaming services are working fine. I've done all possible troubleshooting, and now I need to speak to a human, but it will require a detective license to find one.

Since a few weeks back, some channels are having a strange video delay. I tried everything that I was to do as per somebody in the support department told me to do it without any positive results. Additionally I read a lot of information from Google search. So because of this inconvenience and the unfaithful increase in the tariff I will change my TV provider.

The android app works fine. The Chromecast with Google TV app kind of sucks. The picture will occasionally freeze but the audio will continue, you have to fast forward with the remote in order to sync the audio and video. Also, on my laptop I can watch recorded material at 2x but the Chromecast with Google TV app won't let me, why?!?!?!?!?

This is an abortion of an app. It is slow taking about 20 seconds to open a channel even on a Gigabit connection. The app does not allow one to use the TV Channel up and down buttons. It seems to have many more advertisements than the real channels. The main interface page is messy and hard to navigate. One day Google will learn to make apps that are easy and efficient to use. Until them I am off to Sling or elsewhere.

No option to control viewing speed on android app. DVR is mostly ok. I keep having a problem with the recording of Jeopardy. Same recording works fine on mobile browser and iPad. Video is a constant stutter of still images with ok audio. Keep reporting and keep getting reply of "We can't fix it, sorry". Of all three options, Android App, Mobile/PC Browser and Ipad app. This is last place by a mile. Interface could use some better layout and navigation.

I have a Chromecast with Google TV, and two Android TV devices (Tivo Stream 4K and Nvidia Shield). I just signed up for YouTube TV a day ago and I am just starting to try the DVR (aka Library) functions. I am shocked that when playing back a recorded program from my Library I cannot Fast Forward or Rewind. When I press the forward or rewind button (the left and right side of the round button on the white Chromecast with Google TV Remote) it brings up a grey bar indicating the total length of the program and the message in the lower right "no views" I can only restart the program and cannot fast forward or rewind using the remote on any of these devices. I can speak "Fast Forward Two Minutes" into the remote and that works and I can fast forward and rewind from the mobile app. However this is not a good solution being that my most frequent use of a DVR function is to record sporting events and then watch them later and fast forward through the commercials where you can see thumbnail images of the scenes so you know when to stop fast forwarding. I did some research and apparently the issue is the DVR recording requires some processing to allow for fast forwarding or "scrubbing" through the video and this can be delayed for several hours. This is an extremely frustrating problem because 75% of the time the way I use a DVR is to record a program in progress and come back and start watching the recording maybe 30 minutes or an hour later while the live program is still on and then I catch up at the end by the time I fast forward through the customers. Given Google's immense resources and the huge YouTube brand name and considering Google has competition from Hulu Live TV, AT&T Now, Comcast/Xfinity, Spectrum and the like, I am completely SHOCKED such a basic feature could be completely broken currently.

Mediocre at best. Picture quality is ok but often needs the cache cleared since it gets stuck loading a new channel. 5.1 surround sound won't work unless I turn off eARC support on my TV or soundbar, which no other app requires. To add insult to injury, "customer support" means platitudes and blaming your hardware for their flawed app.

absolutely awesome. all you people that are having all this difficulty with the YouTube TV, you need to get rid of all the other junk you got on there to watch with I am using nothING but a ONN box from Walmart, a Sharp TV, and internet. No problem at all. I don't like the price, but who does. I had to cancel for a few months, but in April I am going back.

I have had this YouTube tv since it was released. i haven't had any issue. My bill has been $72/ month. You get all your local networks. Don't listen to the other negative reviews as they are fake. Cable is $300+ a month for same programming. YouTube has multiview and more. You need to purchase NVIDIA Shield TV box is the best on the market too stream from. Fire tv stick is trash.

The app uninstalled itself over night, and will not let me install again. It's probably time to look for a new streaming provider. I finally got it reinstalled, but it uninstalls itself every couple days. Apparently YouTube TV doesn't care. This app went from a 5 to a 1 in two weeks. Pathetic!!

Cannot install this app on TiVo 4k streaming Android tv. no room. cannot see size of app. cannot find size even Googling it. Now that is a play store thing on the android tv. arrrg. You have no idea the size of an app until after it is installed. Why do they always make these large paid apps to only sit on the internal drive, Make app USB compatible!!! They have large size files forced to sit on internal drives as if they are the only app you have. Paramount did something right as it can install on USB. Kudos to Paramount!! I was forced to loose other apps to install this . I do not understand why all these companies assume you have larger internal drives. Please You tube tv fix this! The pricing has gone up so much one can get tv services now for 20.00 less. just does not seem worth it now.

I think YouTube TV is a pretty good app so far but one thing that really bothers me is that when yougoing to watch a show there's going to be a little button down there that says episodes I've been really confused of trying to get to the seasons so like if I search up the name it will show up but like can you like add the seasons on there too with episodes down there it's not that really big of a deal just kind of bothers me but YouTube TV it's a good app.also a lot of glitching too I've seen like a lot of glitching happening lately kicks me out of YouTube TV but I'm not really worried about that it's not the most commonly happening but it still happens a little bit more than usual overall YouTube team is pretty good to happen to watch all my favorite shows and stuff on there.also I have no clue if they have this feature but can you make junior accounts or able to enter I have no clue they have this feature like I said but if you don't can you please add that I think that'd be a little bit awesome so the kids can watch what they want I have a whole bunch of different kids shows like cocomelon or Paw Patrol stuff like that would be pretty awesome we can have a whole bunch of them overall YouTube TV is a pretty good app. :-)I also would apologize for all the misspellings I have a Google remote in Chromecast like I say it all my reviews other little black button there that translates what I'm saying into the review but yeah anyways thank you so much YouTube TV :-)

Works great on Sony Bravia TVs. Never had any major issues. Rarely crashes and is better than most live TV apps out there. Live guide is only available on Apple TV which is why it's not 5 stars. Ironically ATV is the best experience as it's lightening quick and rock solid. But otherwise it's very good.

From increased pricing to a steadily freezing interface, YouTube TV quality and rationalization of continual membership has gone down. ---> Okay so update, after I uninstalled and reinstalled the application from the TV. I discovered that there was a new roll out. Google really needs to have a notification when it's time to do a firmware update and provide feedback to the end user. If not, other people just like myself will be frustrating and troubleshooting your home networks thinking that it's something on our end. Please do better in your communication as a company!

At least with cable or satellite, there's the option to add as many TVs as you need. No such option for YouTube TV beyond 3 simultaneous streams. Why not offer a $5/per option to expand beyond a mere 3? It's ridiculous to have to pay for a 2nd account just so my family can watch TV in different rooms at the same time.

The app is consistently failing to load on Sony 4K TV. After the video is selected to view it gives message “ something went wrong” it gives 2 options - send feedback & go back. I have tried clearing cache, data & force stop multiple times. I have also reset TV settings twice but nothing Is helping. It’s not playing any videos &goes in same loop. I would request any help or support here
